We are seeking a hands‑on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead graphene‑related projects across midstream and downstream operations, with a strong focus on scaling projects from R&D and pilot stages to repeatable, industrial‑ready deployment, while ensuring regulatory readiness, licensing, and compliance with relevant authorities (e.g. DOE and other applicable agencies) required for scale‑up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and optimise end‑to‑end operations for graphene‑related projects, covering midstream and downstream development.
• Drive project scale‑up from laboratory and pilot phases to industrial production and deployment, ensuring process stability, yield, and cost efficiency.
• Establish and enforce SOPs, process controls, and quality systems to support graphene manufacturing and application scale‑up.
• Own and implement the company’s ESG framework, ensuring environmental, safety, and governance compliance across all scaled operations.
• Manage budgets, resources, timelines, and operational KPIs, with clear accountability for delivery and performance.
• Align graphene R&D, engineering, and production with commercial, regulatory (e.g. licensing and relevant authority requirements), and market‑readiness objectives.
• Build and lead high‑performing multidisciplinary teams, fostering operational discipline, continuous improvement, and execution excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical/Materials Engineering (Master’s / PhD preferred).
• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in operations, manufacturing, or technology scale‑up, preferably involving graphene or advanced materials, with demonstrated responsibility in leading projects, teams, or workstreams.
• Strong understanding of process optimisation, cost control, and operational risk management.
• Experience integrating ESG, safety, and compliance frameworks into manufacturing and operations.
• Comfortable operating in a startup‑to‑growth environment with high accountability.
