You will own building the organisation, strengthening performance, scaling how we work, and creating strong foundations across markets. Experience in retail or multi-store operations adds valuable context.
Help us build the organisation behind 3cat's next stage of growth.
3cat is on a mission to make secondhand tech the first choice.
We're one of Malaysia's fastest-growing circular-tech companies, building an omnichannel platform for pre-owned smartphones and electronics. Today we operate 22 stores, with plans to grow beyond 50 stores across the region, including our expansion into the Philippines.
We're backed by leading international and strategic investors including AEON (Japan), Iterative VC, Golden Gate Ventures, Foxmont Capital, TheVentures and XOX Mobile.
As we enter our next stage of growth, we're looking for a Chief of Staff to help us build the organisation and drive some of the most important people's priorities and strategic initiatives behind our growth.
This isn't a traditional Chief of Staff role.
Around 70% of your focus will be on building and driving our people, culture and leadership priorities. The remaining 30% will be focused on strategic business initiatives alongside the CEO and leadership team.
You'll work directly with our CEO, founders and leadership team across Malaysia and the Philippines. Your role will be to ensure we have the organisation, leadership and execution needed to support our growth, while taking ownership of selected cross-functional priorities that require dedicated attention.
You'll take ownership of:
We're looking for someone who is deeply passionate about building great organisations, strong cultures and capable leaders, while also being naturally drawn to solving wider business problems.
Around 10 to 12 years of experience is a useful benchmark, but it isn't a hard requirement. We're much more interested in what you've built, the complexity you've handled, how you've influenced leaders and the impact you've created.
You may have built your career in People, organisational development, transformation, operations or a cross-functional leadership role. Experience in retail, multi-store operations or an international business would be especially valuable.
Build, don't maintain. You'll have genuine freedom to shape the people, leadership and organisational priorities that will support our next stage of growth.
Go beyond one function. While your primary mandate is building the organisation, you'll also work directly with the CEO on strategic priorities that matter to the wider business.
Join at an inflection point. We're recently funded, expanding rapidly and entering new markets.
Work directly with the founders. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence how we build our organisation and execute our growth plans.
Make an impact. We're building a significant regional business while helping make secondhand technology a mainstream, more sustainable choice.
If you want to build great teams, strengthen leaders, solve difficult business problems and turn ambitious plans into action, we'd love to meet you.
