3cat is hiring a Design Intern (Brand & Community) in Kuala Lumpur to help shape how the brand appears online and offline. You will build digital and retail design assets, respond to social inquiries, and maintain brand consistency while learning from our marketing team and CMO.

We welcome curious, quick learners with a portfolio in digital/print design; familiarity with Canva and Adobe tools is ideal. This paid internship runs on-site for a minimum of 3 months.

Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate in design, multimedia arts, advertising or related field with a portfolio.
• Portfolio covers digital and print work; retail, POSM, packaging or event graphics a strong plus.
• Confident using Canva; working knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign.
• Understand bleed, CMYK, dielines and large-format print production.
• Comfort writing short-form replies in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an advantage.
• Familiar with Malaysian internet and retail culture; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

3cat is on a mission to make secondhand tech the first choice.

We're looking for a Design Intern (Brand & Community) to help us create the work customers see and be part of the conversations that happen around it.

This is a paid, full-time internship based on-site in Kuala Lumpur, for a minimum of 3 months.

The Role

This role gives you exposure to two sides of marketing that don't often come together in one internship.

You'll create for the brand and interact with the people experiencing it.

You'll help produce social, digital, retail and activation assets that go live across Malaysia, while also supporting the comments, messages and enquiries coming through our social channels.

You'll work closely with our marketing team and CMO, learning how creative, channels and customers connect in a fast-moving retail business.

You’ll take ownership of:

• Digital & Social Creative: Support campaign assets, paid creatives, marketplace visuals and other day-to-day digital design from brief.
• Retail & Activation Design: Create POSM, signage, hoardings, event, roadshow and in-store materials, including supporting coordination with printers and fabricators.
• Community Engagement: Help respond to comments and enquiries across our social channels and know when something needs to be escalated.
• Brand Consistency: Make sure the work you create and the responses you give feel consistent with the 3cat brand.
• Templates & Brand Assets: Help maintain Canva templates, reply guidelines and our brand asset library so the wider team can move quickly and stay on-brand.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who likes making things and talking to people in equal measure.

You don't need years of experience. But you should be curious, comfortable learning quickly and excited to see your work used by a real, growing brand.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is studying or recently graduated in design, multimedia arts, advertising or a related field, or is self-taught with a portfolio that proves it.
• Has a portfolio covering digital and print work; retail, POSM, packaging or event graphics would be a strong plus.
• Is confident using Canva, with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign.
• Understands basic print production such as bleed, CMYK, dielines and large-format specifications.
• Is comfortable writing short-form replies in English and Bahasa Malaysia and has good judgement on when to respond or elevate. Mandarin would be an advantage.
• Understands Malaysian internet and retail culture, works quickly and is comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
