OUTSTANDING ENTREPRENEURS SDN. BHD seeks a Chief Financial Officer to partner with the Chairman and senior management in steering the group’s financial health and sustainable growth through strategic leadership and disciplined financial management.
The CFO will oversee planning, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, tax & compliance, and governance across the group, providing insights to support investment decisions and drive efficiency and profitability.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) acts as a key strategic partner to the Chairman and senior management, focusing on driving the Group's financial health and sustainable business growth through strategic financial leadership and disciplined financial management.
The CFO reports directly to the Group Chairman/CEO.
Act as a strategic financial partner to the chairman and senior management in supporting business growth and decision-making.
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the Group's business objectives and growth plans.
Provide financial insights and recommendations on new programmes, projects, events, and business opportunities.
Evaluate the financial viability, profitability, and risks of major business initiatives.
Drive financial discipline, cost efficiency, and sustainable business growth across the Group.
Oversee the Group's accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting activities.
Prepare and review monthly and annual management accounts and financial reports.
Lead the annual budgeting and financial forecasting process and monitor performance against approved budgets.
Analyse revenue, costs, profitability, and financial performance across business units and projects.
Provide timely financial reports and insights to management to support business decisions.
Monitor the financial performance of training programmes, courses, events, projects, and other business activities.
Review project budgets, pricing, cost structures, and profitability.
Work closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other departments to ensure effective financial planning and cost management.
Identify opportunities to improve margins, reduce unnecessary costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
Establish appropriate financial controls for projects and business activities.
Oversee the Group's cash flow, liquidity, receivables, payables, and working capital.
Ensure sufficient cash flow to support daily operations and business commitments.
Monitor outstanding customer payments and support effective credit control and collection processes.
Review payment schedules, major expenditures, and financial commitments.
Maintain effective relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions and maintenance of proper accounting records.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and relevant authorities.
Review tax planning, tax submissions, and statutory financial requirements.
Ensure proper documentation and financial records are maintained for audit and compliance purposes.
Establish, review, and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal control processes.
Identify financial and operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Monitor compliance with approved financial policies and delegated authority limits.
Strengthen controls over cash, payments, purchases, expenses, assets, and financial documentation.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Lead, manage, and develop the Finance and Accounting team.
Set clear objectives, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the finance function.
Review team performance and provide coaching and guidance where necessary.
Improve finance processes, systems, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and financial discipline.
Provide financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations to the Managing Director and management team.
Support management in evaluating business expansion, new products or services, investments, and major expenditures.
Prepare financial models, business analysis, and management reports when required.
Work collaboratively with department heads to improve financial awareness and accountability.
Perform other finance-related duties and strategic assignments as assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with proven track record in financial strategy and operations.
Proficiency in financial modeling, SQLsystems, and data-driven decision making.
Strong leadership and communication skills with an analytical mindset.
