Job summary

Eco Asia Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with strong project-based industry experience to partner with business operations and drive strategic financial decisions in Malaysia.

The successful candidate will oversee finance, treasury, tax and reporting, lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, and support growth through digital transformation initiatives and ERP implementations, delivering board-ready insights for strategic decisions across EPC,

Qualifications

• Experience leading CFO-level finance, treasury, tax and reporting functions.
• Experience in project-driven industries such as EPC/Engineering/ICT/Technology, Telecoms.
• Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia regulations and corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall finance, treasury, tax and reporting functions of the Group.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning activities.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to evaluate project profitability and business performance.
• Oversee project costing, revenue recognition and contract-related financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia regulations, statutory requirements and corporate governance standards.
• Lead and develop the finance team while enhancing internal controls and financial processes.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including ERP and digitalisation projects.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support management and Board-level decision making.
• Support corporate exercises, business expansion plans and future growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall finance, treasury, tax and reporting functions of the Group.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning activities.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to evaluate project profitability and business performance.

Requirements:

• Proven leadership experience in a CFO,Head of Finance or Senior Finance Controller capacity
• Strong experience within one or more of the following industries: EPC, Engineering, ICT / Technology, Telecommunications, Infrastructure
• Experience working in project-driven business environments
