Job summary

Luxchem Trading Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Product Development Manager to identify and evaluate new product opportunities based on market trends, customer requirements and business needs. You will lead development activities, work with Sales, Technical, Quality and Production to ensure successful product introduction, coordinate trials, monitor performance and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science or related field.
• 3–4 years in chemical sales, technical sales, application development, product development or technical support.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits and product development activities.
• Good understanding of chemical products, applications and/or industrial processes.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new product opportunities based on market trends, customer requirements and business needs.
• Assist in, lead and coordinate product development activities.
• Work with commercial/sales teams and customers to understand technical requirements and develop suitable chemical products.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical, Quality, Production to ensure successful product development and market introduction.
• Liaise with suppliers on product specifications and development matters.
• Conduct product trials, evaluations and technical assessments as required.
• Monitor product performance and customer feedback; recommend improvements.
• Support Sales with technical presentations, customer visits and demonstrations.
• Take ownership of assigned development projects; ensure targets and timelines are met.
