Job summary

LB Advanced Material Asia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Chemical Preparation Operator for the day shift at our production facility in Malaysia. You will weigh, feed, and prepare coating reagents and operate the reagent tank system to ensure correct concentrations and temperatures.

This role involves handling hazardous chemicals on-site, sampling for inspection, and maintaining batch records and labels for traceability in accordance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; chemical engineering-related major preferred.
• Experience of 1+ year in chemical preparation or similar roles.
• Familiarity with safe handling of hazardous chemicals and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, feed, and prepare 9 types of coating reagents per batch orders.
• Operate reagent tank sequence control (water intake, metering, heating, stirring, conveying) and verify concentration and temperature.
• Unload hazardous chemicals on-site and collect samples for inspection.
• Maintain labeling and batch records to ensure traceability and delivery after inspection.

Job description

Coating reagent solution preparation position (day shift prepares the full day's quantity in a single shift; 2 people for feeding + 1 person for unloading and sampling).

Key responsibilities

• Perform weighing, feeding, and preparation of 9 types of coating reagents (sodium aluminate, aluminum sulfate, sodium silicate, sodium hexametaphosphate, zirconium salt, TMP, etc.) according to batch orders
• Operate the sequence control of the reagent tank group (water intake, metering, heating, stirring, conveying), and confirm preparation concentration and temperature
• Perform on-site operations for unloading hazardous chemicals such as acids and alkalis, and sampling for inspection
• Manage labeling and batch records to ensure reagent batch traceability and delivery for use after passing inspection
• Execute reagent storage tank level management to ensure availability from pure storage tanks for night shifts
• Implement hazardous chemical storage safety requirements (leak prevention, eyewash, MSDS)

About you

• High school/vocational school diploma or above
• Chemical engineering-related major preferred
• More than 1 year of experience in chemical preparation positions
• Familiar with safe operation of hazardous chemicals and personal protection requirements
