Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Subang is seeking a dedicated non-management kitchen professional to join our team in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. This full-time role focuses on preparing meals, ensuring quality and portion control, and maintaining safety standards in a busy hotel kitchen.

You will regulate oven temperatures, prepare items per recipes, keep food logs, and support management with hiring, training, and staff coaching. This is an on-site position at our Subang Jaya property.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer to thaw in the refrigerator and ensure proper portions.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality of prepared items.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, coaching staff; act as a role model.
