Job summary

Weil Hotel in Ipoh is seeking an experienced kitchen professional to lead the Malay cuisine and banquet production line, delivering high-volume, authentic dishes while upholding strict culinary and food safety standards.

You will prepare and cook Malay dishes to standardized recipes, coordinate with Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef, manage stocking and hygiene, and plan daily production lists for banquets, events, and functions.

• Prepare and cook authentic Malay dishes according to standardized recipes, portion guides, and presentation standards.
• Daily preparation, cooking, and presentation of Malay dishes for banquets, events, and functions.
• Works alongside with Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities and operations, including to maintain the stock, food hygiene and occupational safety and health procedures are followed in accordance with the kitchen's SOPs.
• Coordinate closely with the Senior Sous Chef to forecast banquet guest numbers and plan daily production lists.
