TRILIGHT OPTICS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD seeks an experienced Chargeman A4 for its Perai, Penang facility. The role leads production activities, maintains electrical systems, and ensures quality and safety compliance in a manufacturing environment.

The position requires a valid Chargeman A4 certificate, a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering, and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Shifts and standby duties may apply to support operations.

About the role

TRILIGHT OPTICS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Chargeman A4 to join our engineering team in Perai, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our electrical and electronic engineering operations. As Chargeman A4, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing production activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supervising a team of production staff. This position is crucial to the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility and directly contributes to delivering high-quality optical products to our clients.

Key responsibilities

Operate and maintain LV electrical systems, switchboards, transformers, generators, UPS, and other electrical equipment.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.

Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.

Monitor daily electrical system performance and utility consumption.

Ensure all electrical installations comply with the requirements of the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) and relevant regulations.

Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems.

Supervise electrical contractors and technicians during maintenance and installation works.

Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, electrical drawings, and inspection reports.

Support energy-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Ensure compliance with company ESH policies, LOTO procedures, and electrical safety requirements.

Attend emergency breakdowns and provide on-call support when required.

Assist in audits, statutory inspections, and electrical system upgrades.

What we're looking for

Valid Chargeman A4 Certificate issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Good knowledge of:

LV electrical distribution systems

Electrical protection systems

Preventive maintenance

Electrical troubleshooting

Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and electrical safety practices is an advantage.

Willing to work on shifts or be on standby for emergency breakdowns if required.
