Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Electrical Technician (Chargeman A0/A1) to inspect, repair, install and maintain equipment at an assigned site. The role sits within Engineering and Technical Services, focusing on preventive maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities include following instructions for repairs, ensuring safety during shutdowns, and performing both electrical and basic mechanical tasks with close supervision. Strong MS Office skills and physical fitness are required.

Qualifications

• Chargeman A0/A1 certificate with Energy Commission registration.
• Min. 2 years of facilities/building maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
• Advise when immediate shutdown is necessary to minimize damage or when ongoing operation is safe.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, and replace electrical equipment with safety precautions.
• Perform mechanical repairs related to servicing electrical equipment.
• Install, splice, or replace sections of wire as part of repair or temporary installation.
• Conduct emergency mechanical repairs without other maintenance personnel.
• Follow established procedures to solve straightforward problems under supervision.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures and processes under guidance.
