Job summary

onsemi Malaysia seeks a detailed and collaborative Characterization Lab Technician to perform tests on discrete and module devices, verify electrical results, and deliver precise data to customers. You will maintain documentation, contribute to 5S in the lab, and support colleagues with training.

You will ensure EHS/ESD compliance and work as part of a tight-knit team to optimize test workflows and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics or equivalents.
• Solid understanding of digital and analog electronics and testing discrete components.
• Proficient with standard electronic test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, curve tracers and power supplies.
• Proficient with MS Office products, especially Excel, and GUI for tester control.
• Customer focused and friendly attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Able and willing to take additional responsibilities and learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Perform characterization test for discrete and module devices.
• Conduct analysis and electrical verification for various tests in the lab.
• Provide comprehensive data and report to customers.
• Work as a team to conduct the tests.
• Involve in laboratory maintenance and upkeeping activities like 5S.
• Facilitate learning for other team members thru training or sharing of new knowledge or techniques acquired.
• Ensure compliance to EHS and ESD requirements in the Lab.
