Job summary

Hello Chai is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Chai Baristas to join our vibrant team in Kuala Lumpur City Centre on a full time or part‑time basis. You will craft specialty chai beverages and create memorable experiences for our customers, upholding high standards of our chai culture.

As a Barista, you will operate beverage equipment, take orders, handle payments, and contribute to a clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer-facing beverage role.
• Strong knowledge of chai beverages, spices, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
• Basic food safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential weekend and evening shifts.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
• Team player mentality with a positive and professional attitude.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty chai beverages with precision and consistency, following Hello Chai recipes and quality standards.
• Operate espresso machines and other beverage equipment safely and hygienically.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing knowledgeable recommendations about our chai offerings.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately, maintaining till security and reconciliation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
• Stock and rotate beverages, ingredients, and supplies as needed throughout your shift.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
