Job summary

SIA Engineering Company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks a CAT A certifying technician. The role focuses on certification for release of aircraft on line maintenance, involving simple and routine tasks and minor scheduled line maintenance.

You will perform defect rectification within certificate limits and ensure proper documentation for all work performed during your shift. Ideal candidates hold a CAT A license with 3+ years of experience on commercial aircraft (Airbus/Boeing).

Qualifications

• Must hold a CAT A Aircraft Maintenance License with 3+ years of line maintenance on commercial aircraft.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work in a shift system.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and certification of aircraft on line maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance performed to the highest standards per technical data.
• Keep updated on current Technical and Quality Notices issued.

Job description

As a CAT A certifying technician, you will

1) Primarily perform certification for the release of an aircraft on line maintenance which require only simple and routine tasks to be carried out.

2) Carry out minor scheduled line maintenance tasks and simple defect rectification that are within the limitations stated in the Authorisation certificate.

• Examples of tasks that a CAT A license holder can be authorized to perform includes but not limited to replacement of wheel, routine fluid servicing, opening and closing of cowlings and quick access panels etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carries out maintenance and certification of aircraft handled by Line Maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance is performed at the highest level in accordance with relevant technical Data
• Keeps him/herself updated on current and new Technical and Quality Notices issued
• Ensure maximum attention is given to ensure aircraft on time departure and also improve dispatch reliability by providing timely completion of task and delay management/report.
• Complete all required documentation for all aircraft done by himself/herself during shift, ensure proper signing and stamping before clocking out.
• Accept appropriate training that will enable a more effective contribution
• Ensures that safety rules and regulations are complied with.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by his superior.

Education / Experience:
