EXICASH, a Malaysia-based fintech, seeks a senior leader to drive the EMI licensing process and shape the company’s strategic direction. The role contemplates a long-term CEO contract with continued involvement after licensing and potential profit sharing.

Onsite in Malaysia with full-time commitment and English proficiency required. Experience in payments, risk, and regulatory affairs is essential, with preference for familiarity with Malaysian regulatory landscape and ability to address BNM

Formación

• Proven senior management experience in payments, e-money, merchant acquiring, card acquiring, payment processing, banking, or another regulated financial-services business.
• Strong understanding of payment operations, risk management, AML/CFT, compliance, technology, and cybersecurity.
• Ability to meet BNM's fit-and-proper requirements, including integrity, competence, relevant experience, and financial soundness.
• Excellent professional reputation and no material unresolved criminal, regulatory, disciplinary, bankruptcy, or misconduct matters.
• Full-time commitment to the Malaysian company.

Engagement Options

The company offers two potential engagement options depending on the candidate's preference and experience:

Option 1 – Short-Term / Project-Based Contract

The candidate will support the company in obtaining the required license in Malaysia. The licensing process is expected to take approximately 1–2 years, and the engagement may conclude once the license has been obtained.

Option 2 – Long-Term CEO Contract

The company is open to building a long-term relationship with the future CEO. Under this option, the candidate will remain involved in the business after the license is obtained and continue supporting the company's long-term development.
For the long-term arrangement, salary and potential company profit sharing (%) will be discussed depending on the candidate's experience and level of involvement.

Requirements

• Proven senior management experience in payments, e-money, merchant acquiring, card acquiring, payment processing, banking, or another regulated financial-services business.
• Strong understanding of payment operations, risk management, AML/CFT, compliance, technology, and cybersecurity.
• Ability to meet BNM's fit-and-proper requirements, including integrity, competence, relevant experience, and financial soundness.
• Excellent professional reputation and no material unresolved criminal, regulatory, disciplinary, bankruptcy, or misconduct matters.
• Full-time commitment to the Malaysian company.
• For the EMI application, willingness to reside in Malaysia unless BNM grants a written exemption.
• Ability to engage effectively with BNM and lead a regulated financial-services business.
• Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a CEO, Managing Director, COO, Country Head, or equivalent.
• Experience launching or managing a regulated payment business.
• Previous interaction with a financial regulator or central bank.
• Experience in Malaysia or another ASEAN regulated financial market.
• Relevant university degree or professional qualifications in finance, business, law, technology, risk, or compliance.
