Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Bayan Lepas, Penang, invites motivated individuals to join our catering team as entry-level staff. Fresh graduates and candidates with SPM are welcome to apply; successful applicants will receive training and work in shifts as part of a collaborative kitchen crew.

You will assist with setting up counters, maintaining cleanliness, serving guests, and following safety policies to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least SPM.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Catering cleaning policy to keep workplace clean and safe.
• Set and restock service counters, shelving units, refrigeration units and tables/trays.
• Deliver customer service in line with best practice and policies.
• Main duties to set up plating area and food counters ready for each service.
• Sort, clear food waste, dispose of waste properly and place in designated pickup areas.
• Wash dishes, glassware, pots etc. using dishwashers or manually.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain kitchen areas, equipment, or utensils in good order.
• Clean according to schedule and as needed heavy equipment including ventilation filters, ovens, and garbage rooms.
• Place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas.

Responsibility

• Adhere to the Catering cleaning policy as defined by relevant personnel to ensure that workplace is kept clean and safe.
• Set and re-stock service counters, shelving units, refrigeration units and tables/trays
• Deliver customer service in line with ‘best practice’. Ensure compliance to relevant policies.
• Main duties to set up platting area and food counters ready for each service.
• Sorting, clearing food waste, remove from waste bin and placing IT in designated waste disposable pickup areas.
• Wash dishes, glassware, pots etc. using dishwashers or by manually.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain kitchen working areas, equipment, or utensils in good and orderly condition.
• Clean according to schedule and as necessity arises, all heavy-duty equipment including ventilation filters, oil filters, ovens, and garbage rooms.
• Place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas
