Job summary

BIG Pharmacy is expanding rapidly with over 300 outlets in Malaysia. We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to lead pharmacy assistants, oversee daily operations, and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards. You will support dispensing, customer care, and secure payment handling in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Staff Supervision: Supervise pharmacy assistants and support staff, ensuring operational efficiency and delegate tasks.
• Pharmacy Operations & Process Optimization: Oversee daily workflow, ensure SOP compliance and digital solutions usage.
• Regulatory Compliance & Medication Safety: Ensure adherence to regulations and proper documentation of medications.
• Customer Service: Respond to inquiries and handle complaints with the pharmacy team.
• Medication Management & Dispensing Oversight: Supervise dispensing, assist in reviews and labeling for safety.
• Payment Processing: Process cash/card payments and balance cash register with receipts.

Job description

Duties/Responsibilities (Training Provided)

Team Leadership & Staff Supervision: Supervise pharmacy assistants and support staff, ensuring operational efficiency, manage daily work assignments, scheduling, and task delegation to ensure smooth workflow.

Pharmacy Operations & Process Optimization: Oversee daily pharmacy workflow, ensuring efficiency in prescription dispensing, customer service, and administrative tasks. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational guidelines, and digital pharmacy solutions.

Regulatory Compliance & Medication Safety: Ensure adherence to Poison Act 1952 and pharmacy compliance regulations. Monitor prescription accuracy, controlled drug handling, and proper documentation.

Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, referring them to the appropriate pharmacy team member when necessary.

Medication Management & Dispensing Oversight: Supervise medication dispensing, ensuring compliance with prescription guidelines. Assist in medication reviews and proper labeling to ensure patient safety.

Payment Processing: Process cash and card payments accurately and balance the cash register with receipts.
