Job summary

KUALA LUMPUR DURIAN EXPERIENCE SDN. BHD. is seeking a cashier for its Kuala Lumpur outlet. You will handle daily transactions, greet customers, issue receipts, and maintain cash drawer accuracy.

No prior experience required as training is provided; basic BM/English communication is expected, with Mandarin a plus. Overtime pay and meal/transport allowances may be offered in a fast-growing team with high tourist traffic.

• No experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register, POS system, or ticketing system per procedures.
• Receive payments via cash, card, e-wallet, or other approved methods.
• Issue receipts, invoices, tickets, or payment records accurately.
• Return correct change and ensure transactions are processed properly.
• Greet customers and provide friendly counter service.
• Assist with basic enquiries related to products, prices, promotions, directions, or services.
• Process refunds, exchanges, or special arrangements with proper approval.

Working Hours

10:30 AM – 7:30 PM (1-hour break)

Working Days

• 6 days/week (off day on rotation)
• Flexible (subject to scheduling)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register, POS system, or ticketing system according to company procedures.
• Receive payments from customers through cash, card, e-wallet, or other approved payment methods.
• Issue receipts, invoices, tickets, or payment records accurately.
• Return correct change and ensure all transactions are processed properly.

2. Cash Handling & Transaction Accuracy

• Count cash, check payment records, and ensure daily transactions are accurate.
• Follow company procedures for cash drawer handling, cashier opening, cashier closing, and handover.
• Report any cash shortage, overage, payment error, or suspicious transaction to the supervisor immediately.
• Support theft prevention and ensure cash, receipts, and payment records are properly secured.

3. Customer Service & Enquiry Support

• Greet customers politely and provide friendly counter service.
• Assist customers with basic enquiries related to products, tickets, prices, promotions, directions, or services.
• Direct customers to the correct area, merchandise, or person in charge when needed.
• Handle simple customer issues professionally and elevate difficult cases to the supervisor.
• Process refunds, exchanges, reservations, or special arrangements only according to company approval procedures.
• Provide customers with price information, promotion details, and basic product or service explanation.
• Support loyalty schemes, gift packaging, price tags, or promotional activities when required.
• Assist in packing purchases or preparing customer orders when needed.

5. Counter Cleanliness & Daily Reporting

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter, checkout area, and nearby display area.
• Prepare and submit daily transaction records, cashier closing reports, receipts, and related documents.
• Ensure price tags, counter materials, bags, receipt rolls, and payment tools are available.
• Follow company service standards, safety rules, and daily operation procedures.
