Job summary

Ria Money Transfer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Cashier in Retail Operations to provide frontline customer service by processing transactions and handling inquiries, while ensuring accurate records and daily operations in line with company procedures.

You will interact with customers face to face, balance cash drawers, verify information, and assist with questions about our services. Weekend availability and basic MS Word/Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate with SPM and above.
• Cash handling experience is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to use MS Word and Excel.
• Flexible schedules, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers face-to-face to process transactions and money-related services.
• Verify or enter customer information accurately in our systems.
• Assist customers with inquiries and service questions, or escalate to management as needed.
• Balance cash register and prepare cash for bank deposits.
• Prepare daily transaction records and reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About This Role

As a Cashier, in Retail Operations, your role will be providing frontline customer service by processing transactions, handling inquiries, ensuring accurate records, and supporting daily operations in compliance with company procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interact with customers face to face to receive and process all of Ria's products such as money transfers, money orders, selling and buying foreign currency.
• Accurately verify or enter the customer's information on our systems.
• Courteously assist customers with various inquiries such as questions about our services, service cancellations or other Ria locations.
• Recognize problems, issues or complaints during queries and propose solutions or elevate to the management team.
• Keep up to date with Ria's products, services, and policies.
• Balance your cash register and prepare cash for bank deposit.
• Prepare your daily transactions record.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested by your colleagues and superiors.

Position Requirements

• Fresh graduate with SPM and above
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Some computer knowledge with ability to use MS Word and Excel.
• Cash handling experience is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
