Job summary

Citi in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a high-caliber professional to join our team as Officer, Cash and Trade Processing Analyst 1 - C09, in a hybrid, full-time capacity. The role focuses on daily reconciliation, package preparation, and issue resolution to ensure accuracy of financial records within a global bank.

You’ll gain practical experience in financial reporting, contribute to process improvements, and work with the Balance Sheet Substantiation team to deliver timely, compliant results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of experience in financial operations, reconciliation or payment operations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Daily reconciliation of general ledger balances with sub-ledger data to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare detailed reconciliation packages documenting findings.
• Investigate and resolve accounting exceptions and root causes.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Monitor aged breaks on balance sheet accounts and resolve issues.
• Communicate findings with team, management and business partners.
• Respond to Balance Sheet Substantiation information requests.
• Ensure timely financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Participate in or lead reconciliation projects.
• Adhere to risk policies and safeguard assets.
