Brenntag seeks a dynamic Cash Application Lead in Malaysia to oversee a high-performing team. You will drive accurate customer payment allocations, oversee unapplied cash, and optimize posting processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and SLAs.

The role requires strong leadership, ERP proficiency, and a focus on continuous improvement. You will collaborate with SSC peers, support audits, and contribute to regional objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in O2C operations or shared services.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role; strong AR/financial controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Cash Application operations and ensure accurate, timely payment allocation.
• Monitor unapplied cash, identifications, posting turnaround, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage stakeholders with proactive communication and issue resolution to minimize escalations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and service levels.
• Champion process standardization and automation across APAC to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Coach and develop team members; drive performance management and retention.
• Plan process transitions and migrations within scope and timelines.
• Support audits with accurate documentation and timely responses.
• Collaborate with SSC teams to ensure smooth month-end closing and reporting.
