Job summary

EY in Malaysia is seeking an Assurance Associate/Senior Associate to deliver audit and non-audit services for clients pursuing capital markets strategies, including IPOs. You will support US GAAP/IFRS accounting, PCAOB and SEC reporting, and work with audit teams across engagements.

The role emphasizes training, stakeholder relations, and travel as needed, operating within EY's Capital Markets practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or professional accounting qualification/ ACCA affiliate.
• Experience auditing U.S. publicly traded companies with knowledge of U.S. GAAP or IFRS.
• In-depth PCAOB audits and SEC reporting knowledge.
• Strong communication and project management skills; travel willingness.
• Experience in a globally recognized audit firm and capital raising audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical accounting and US financial reporting advice across capital markets transactions.
• Support audits under PCAOB and local standards.
• Deliver training on audit standards and methodologies, including digital audit transformation.
• Build relationships with clients’ senior stakeholders and legal counsel.
