Job summary

EY in Malaysia is seeking an Assurance Manager in our Financial Services Organization. You will lead audit teams, manage client relationships, and deliver quality assurance services to top clients. Strong technical, leadership and communication skills are essential.

The role emphasizes building long-term client networks, guiding engagement strategies, and contributing to EY’s commitment to an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or professional accounting qualification (ACCA affiliate).
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm with financial services exposure.
• Excellent project management and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork, leadership and integrity within a professional environment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team setting.
• Fluent English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management throughout the year.
• Participate in performing audit procedures and plan engagement objectives.
• Collaborate to plan an audit strategy that complies with standards and addresses risk.
• Understand client industry and key performance drivers to inform audit approach.
• Monitor engagement progress and generate new business opportunities.
• Provide leadership and training to team members and deliver high-quality results.
