Job summary

The Alice Smith School is seeking a Manager of Facilities (Operations) for the Equine Park Secondary Campus. You will lead day-to-day facilities services, supervise the facilities team and contractors, and ensure safe, compliant operations that support teaching, exams and events.

Candidate will manage maintenance, buildings, pools, grounds and assets, coordinating planned and reactive work while maintaining high service standards and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing facilities in a complex, occupied environment, preferably education.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary staff and outsourced services.
• Knowledge of building systems, compliance, contractor safety, asset management and emergency response.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily facilities services including maintenance, events, grounds and pools.
• Translate plans into weekly work programmes and staffing.
• Oversee compliance, safety, safeguarding and campus readiness for events.
• Manage contractors, service levels and performance with evidence.
• Monitor budgets, procurement, and minor projects to meet targets.
• Ensure asset records, maintenance history and KPIs are up-to-date.
