Job summary

AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. seeks a CAM engineer with hands-on experience in InCAMPro and UCAM to generate tooling data for PCB and IC substrate production in Kulim, Malaysia.

You will perform data prep, design checks, DFM/DRC, AOI/LDI data prep, tooling preparation, and support production trials, first-article builds and rework. English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in E&C, CS, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 2 years of CAM/PCB substrate experience.
• Proficient with InCAMPro and UCAM software.
• Good leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Data preparation using CAM software (InCAMPro/UCAM) to generate tooling.
• Design checks to validate nets and drawings and prevent violations.
• DFM/DRC checks and AOI/LDI data preparation.
• Manufacturing tooling data preparation (mask data, back-end data, etc.).
• Support production trials, first articles, and rework activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in CAM processes.

Job description

Should have adequate knowledge of InCAM Pro software to generate proper tooling for production by using all the option in InCAM Pro software

Data preparation using CAM software (Eg : InCAMpro,U-CAM)

Design check to capture the violation of customer design such as Netlist and drawing

Capability checks to find out the gap between Internal capability Vs Customer design

Experience in PCB or IC Substrate manufacturing

Knowledge of :

DFM (Design for Manufacturability)

DRC (Design Rule Check)

AOI & LDI data preparation

Manufacturing tooling preparation

Ensure correct layer sequencing, alignment, and impedance stack-up as per IC substrate requirements.

Support production trials, first-article builds, and rework activities.

Prepare tooling’s (e.g., Litho Glass mask data, SR glass mask data, Back-end data etc) for manufacturing.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., automation, script development).

Referring to DFM / VDA communication protocols prepared and confirmed by customer by Product engineering team for changes implementation as instructed from customer

Contribute to problem-solving and root cause analysis when issues arise in production.

Identify and implement improvements in CAM processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Your Profile

Good technological knowledge and understanding, working experience in a similar industry preferred (PCB / IC Substrate/ PCB layout)

2 years similar working experience at PECAM will be preferred

Bachelor’s in electronic & communication (E&C), Computer Science, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, & Industrial Engineering

Good CAM (Computer Added Manufacturing) knowledge using UCAM or InCAMPro Software

Good leadership skills & Team spirit (able to be part of a team and team leader as well)

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Good Stress Management skills.

Good written and oral English

Analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
