Job summary

Coherent Malaysia is seeking a Senior Calibration Engineer to lead plant-wide calibration activities onsite and offsite, ensuring precision and compliance. You will calibrate in-house equipment, collaborate with HYD test development on data collection, and lead site audits for ISO 9001/14001.

This role requires a bachelor's in Electronic/ Electrical engineering and at least 5 years calibration experience, with on-site work in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering – Electronic, Electrical or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant calibration experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of calibration metrology and SOP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Malaysia plant wide in-house calibration activity (onsite/offsite).
• Calibrating in-house equipment and collaborate with HYD test development team on new calibration project correlation and data collection.
• Serve as Malaysia calibration site audit lead for customer audits and ISO 9001/14001 certification and surveillance audits.
• Ensure proper facilities are available for new equipment calibration support.
• Liaise with the team to improve in-house calibration capability. Able to develop and implement calibration procedures independently with minimal supervision.
• Compliance with ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
