Job summary

M.E.I. Consultants Sdn Bhd seeks a skilled Drafter to join our Engineering team in George Town, Penang. You will produce detailed technical drawings and diagrams to support project delivery, using CAD software and collaborating with engineers and architects.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or degree in Engineering Drafting with at least 2 years of drafting experience, proficient in AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and has strong attention to detail and communication skills to work across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering Drafting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Drafter, preferably in the Engineering industry.
• Proficient in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret engineering requirements.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting engineering specifications and requirements to create accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software.
• Preparing a variety of drawings, including site plans, building elevations, floor plans, and mechanical schematics.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
• Maintaining and updating drawing archives and documentation.
• Providing support and advice to project teams on technical drawing-related matters.
• Staying up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
