Job summary

Unisearch Services Pte Ltd in Malaysia seeks a Software Automation Engineer specialized in C# for industrial automation with extensive APAC/LATAM travel. You will develop robust applications, design equipment control logic and machine vision, and ensure data acquisition and monitoring across complex systems.

You will integrate software with PLCs, robots, and MES, perform debugging and commissioning, and support customers on-site or remotely.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above.
3+ years of software development experience in industrial automation; proficient in motion control cards and systems such as Googol Tech, Leadshine, SoftServo (WMX), etc.
Mastered programming languages, with high proficiency in C#.
Experience with at least one machine vision software package (VisionPro, VisionMaster, Halcon, or OpenCV), with proficient mastery of standard visual positioning development.
Experience in independently developing motion control systems for equipment with 5 or more axes.

Responsibilities

Communicate with Project Managers, Electrical Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers to understand and analyze software functional requirements and control logic.
Develop applications using C# and other relevant languages.
Design and implement functions such as equipment control logic, machine vision processing, data acquisition, and monitoring.
Implement complex algorithms for motion control, sequential control, and process control, as well as basic algorithms for visual positioning and visual inspection.
Develop communication interfaces between software and various industrial devices (e.g., PLCs, robots, instruments/meters, vision systems).
Perform equipment software debugging and commissioning.
Conduct integration testing between equipment software and the customer's MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
Train customer equipment operators and maintenance personnel.
