Job summary

ULTRA CLEAN TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Buyer IV to lead advanced procurement, sourcing and expediting materials from global suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.

You will negotiate terms, manage supplier scorecards, and drive inventory optimization and cost control to support manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or Industrial Systems Engineering, with 6+ years (Bachelor) or

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering.
• At least 6 years working experience for bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical or equivalent.
• At least 10 years working experience for Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MRP system will be advantageous.
• Able to perform in fast paced environment; Preferably experience from manufacturing environment.
• Possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, buying, sourcing and expediting materials, commodities from approved vendor lists both locally and overseas.
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and meeting quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms with local and overseas suppliers.
• Maintain and execute supplier's scorecard programs.
• Work towards achieving given objectives such as inventory management, cost reduction, materials availability and quality management.
• Other duties as required.

UCT is looking for a talented Buyer IV to join us inMalaysia!

The Buyer IV is responsible for leading advanced procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, and expediting materials from global suppliers. This role ensures timely delivery and quality compliance, negotiates complex commercial terms, and drives strategic cost reduction initiatives. The Buyer IV manages supplier performance through scorecard programs and supports key objectives in inventory optimization, cost control, and material availability. This position plays a pivotal role in strengthening supply chain performance and achieving organizational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, buying, sourcing and expediting materials, commodities from approved vendor lists both locally and overseas.
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and meeting quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms with local and overseas suppliers.

Educational/Certification Requirement:
