Job summary

Segi Fresh in Malaysia seeks a Buying/Procurement professional to support the Commercial team in product sourcing, supplier coordination, pricing and promotions to drive business results.

You will analyse competitor pricing, product assortment, and promotions to maintain competitiveness, monitor supplier performance against KPIs, and manage item master data in SAP and ARMS, ensuring accurate costs, descriptions and selling prices. Office-based in Kelana Jaya with move to Wisma Segi in 2027.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, buying, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Good understanding of retail, procurement, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with SAP, ARMS, or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to conduct market and competitor analysis.
• A proactive team player with good problem-solving skills.
• Currently office based Kelana Business Centre, Petaling Jaya (near to Glenmarie LRT station).
• Moving to Wisma Segi office at Kampung Melayu Subang, Shah Alam Q1-Q3 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial team in product sourcing, supplier coordination, pricing, promotions, and other buying-related activities.
• Analyse competitor pricing, product assortment, and promotional activities to identify market opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on agreed KPIs (quality, on-time delivery, cost-effectiveness, responsiveness).
• Manage and maintain item master data in SAP and ARMS (cost price, product description, barcode accuracy, selling price).
• Collaborate with Central Store Team (CST) and Operations Team to resolve product-related issues and ensure stock availability.
• Update and maintain Scan Sales reports for submission and income-related purposes.
• Maintain the Buying Income File monthly, especially during month-end closing.
• Fostering strong supplier relationships and ensuring data accuracy across systems.

Job description

Analyse competitor pricing, product assortment, and promotional activities to identify market opportunities and maintain Segi Fresh’s competitiveness.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance regularly based on agreed KPIs, including product quality, on-time delivery, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness.

Manage and maintain item master data in SAP and ARMS systems, including cost price, product description, barcode accuracy, selling price, and other required product information.

Collaborate closely with the Central Store Team (CST) and Operations Team to resolve product-related issues and ensure smooth product availability at store level.

Update and maintain Scan Sales reports accurately for submission and other income-related purposes.

Maintain and update the Buying Income File on a monthly basis, particularly during month-end closing.

Job Requirements:
