Job summary

HP is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support global supply chain processes in Penang. The role involves inventory analysis, order fulfillment, import/export and shipping for regional/global units, with a focus on data-driven reporting and trend analysis to guide management decisions.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree in a related field and 2–4 years of experience in supply chain or operations, plus familiarity with SAP and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.

Business Operations Analyst Description - Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Manages supply chain processes, such as inventory analysis, order fulfillment, import/export operations and shipping, for a regional or global business unit.
• Produces reports using IT systems and analyzes data to develop trends for supply and demand activities, and articulates findings to management.
• Leads the analysis conducted for backlog management.
• Gathers demand data from country, region, and account managers to contribute to demand planning.
• Collaborates with regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance current business processes.
• Drives business outcomes and operational excellence based on the continuous review of current processes.
• Drives the review of performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Communicates requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams.
• Provides training or general direction for junior staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
