Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Malaysia is seeking a motivated Business Development Support to join the Ground & Rail team. You will manage customer quotations, coordinate RFQs, and maintain key customer relationships while working with regional stakeholders to deliver exceptional service.

You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance and Product Management to ensure accurate documentation, pipeline management, and smooth handovers of secured opportunities to Operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Sales Support, Business Development, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Experience in preparing quotations, managing RFQs, and supporting commercial activities.
• Experience in customer account management and sales administration preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and respond to quotations, pricing requests, and overseas network enquiries within service levels.
• Coordinate RFQs and ensure timely, accurate submission to customers.
• Support the BD team in identifying new opportunities and expanding relationships.
• Build and maintain relationships with assigned customer accounts for satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Product Management, and overseas offices.
• Ensure smooth handover of secured opportunities to Operations for implementation.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, quotations and documentation.
• Monitor sales activities and support pipeline management and reporting.

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Business Development Support professional to join our Ground & Rail team. This role plays a vital part in supporting business growth by managing customer quotations, coordinating RFQs, maintaining customer relationships, and working closely with internal and regional stakeholders to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Support, you will:

• Prepare and respond to customer quotations, pricing requests, and overseas network enquiries within the agreed service levels.
• Coordinate Request for Quotations (RFQs) and ensure timely, accurate submission to customers.
• Support the Business Development team in identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and business retention.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Product Management, and overseas offices to deliver seamless customer solutions.
• Ensure successful handover of secured business opportunities to the Operations team for implementation.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, quotations, and commercial documentation.
• Monitor sales activities and support business development reporting and pipeline management.
• Contribute to cross-functional collaboration and continuous process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Education

• A qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales Support, Business Development, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Experience in preparing quotations, managing RFQs, and supporting commercial activities.
• Experience in customer account management and sales administration is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer relationship management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of freight forwarding, transportation, or integrated supply chain solutions.
• Experience supporting regional or international customers.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Additional language proficiency will be an advantage.
