Job summary

ThoughtFull is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive growth in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia. You will own the enterprise sales and partnerships pipeline end-to-end, from prospecting to contracting, collaborating with Marketing, Product, and Success teams to refine our GTM strategy.

You will enable cross-functional teams, build scalable sales processes, and meet quarterly and annual KPIs in a fast-growing environment. Local candidates fluent in English and Chinese are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years' experience in sales and new business development.
• Experience selling to HR Benefits, Talent Engagement, or Talent Development teams; insurers is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with CRM tools and data-driven sales metrics.
• Able to work in Malaysia/Singapore time zone.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale Enterprise sales and partnerships in Malaysia and SEA.
• Manage end-to-end sales process from lead generation to closing & contracting.
• Develop strategic BD plans for enterprise HR, Benefits, and Wellness segments across markets.
• Drive partner sales enablement across teams with assets and trainings; coordinate with Revenue team.
• Iterate to target ideal companies as we expand into new markets.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Client Success, Product, Ops, and Clinical to optimise GTM and sales process.

The Role:
Thoughtfull is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia. In this role, you will identify, nurture, and close high-value enterprise and partnership opportunities, taking full ownership of your sales pipeline — from prospecting to closing. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to refine our go-to-market strategy, and your efforts will play a key role in strengthening our presence in current markets while expanding into new ones — all while building a scalable, sustainable sales engine.

What you will do:

• Own and scale the Enterprise sales and partnership (insurance/broker/TPA) pipeline, ensuring sufficient lead generation to meet quarterly and annual KPIs

• Manage the end-to-end sales process from lead generation, qualifying, negotiation to closing & contracting

• Develop strategic BD plans tailored to enterprise HR, Benefits, and Wellness segments across key markets

• Drive partner salesforce enablement across teams by providing assets, conducting trainings, ensuring regular asset refresh and collaborating with the Revenue team to progress opportunities.

• Constantly iterating to capture the ideal target persona company as we grow into new markets

• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Client Success, Product, Ops, and Clinical to optimize go-to-market approach and improve Sales strategy and process flow

• Leverage CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive) to maintain pipeline hygiene, generate insights, and forecast performance

Your skills:

• 7-10 year's experience in sales and new business development

• Preferably with experience selling to teams such as HR Benefits, Talent Engagement, or Talent Development. Experience working with or partnering alongside insurers is a strong plus.

• Language: Fluent in English and Chinese to support global stakeholders.

• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a high-growth or startup environment

• Confident communicator who builds trust with diverse stakeholders

• Fluent in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive) with a strong grasp of sales pipelines and data-driven metrics to establish measurable, repeatable sales processes and monitor funnel performance.

• Comfortable operating independently, making decisions amid ambiguity, and being proactive

• Always excited to take on new challenges and experiment with different approaches to tap into emerging market niches.

Basic Salary Range: MYR4,000 - MYR8,800
