Job summary

Businesslist is seeking a Performance Analyst in Kuala Lumpur to monitor revenue, track strategic initiatives and analyze performance across clients, segments and products. You will prepare management reports with insightful analysis, forecast scenarios and highlight gaps against targets.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, data visualization proficiency and excellent stakeholder management. A related degree and 2–5 years' experience in strategy or performance analysis are requested,

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in performance analysis or strategy development.
• Experience in strategy development or performance analysis; insurance/FS-coverage is a plus but not required.
• A degree in business, economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Some knowledge of the insurance industry and its dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor revenue, business volume, targets and KPIs; identify variances and issues requiring attention.
• Track implementation of strategic initiatives, business plans and milestones, including company direction.
• Analyze revenue by client, segment, product and pillar to identify growth areas.
• Prepare regular performance reports with clear analysis behind movements.
• Forecast performance with projections and scenarios; highlight gaps against targets.
• Highlight underperforming areas and follow up on corrective actions.
• Provide analysis to assist management in evaluating business options and decisions.

• Business Performance Analysis - Monitor revenue, business volume, targets and key performance indicators; identify material variances and issues requiring attention.
• Strategic Performance Tracking - Track implementation of approved strategic initiatives, business plans and key milestones, including the company's direction.
• Revenue & Business Analysis - Analyse revenue by client, business segment, product and business pillar to identify movement, concentration and growth areas.
• Management Reporting - Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards, with clear analysis of the reasons behind movements rather than reporting figures only.
• Performance Forecasting - Prepare projections and scenarios based on current performance, business pipeline and approved plans to highlight potential gaps against targets.
• Performance Issues & Follow-up - Highlight underperforming areas, track agreed corrective actions and follow up on progress and expected outcomes.
• Management Decision Analysis - Prepare analysis, comparisons and scenarios to assist management in evaluating business options and making informed decisions.

• 2-5 years of experience.
• Experience in strategy development or performance analysis, insurance/FS-coverage would be a good-to-have but not a must-have.
