Job summary

Shopee Mobile Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a senior marketing leader to shape and execute the brand strategy, ensuring consistency across channels and leading campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives. You will drive PR strategy, media relations, and crisis communication while building strong relationships with media partners and influencers.

The role also oversees social media and community management, with data-driven performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Business or related field.
• Strong strategic thinking, storytelling, and communication skills.
• Proven success in managing brand campaigns, PR crises, and large-scale social media ecosystems.
• Experience working with agencies, influencers, and media partners.
• Creative mindset with strong understanding of trends and digital culture.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define, refine, and execute the overall brand strategy, voice, and visual identity.
• Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints.
• Lead brand campaigns, product launches, and key initiatives to strengthen brand equity.
• Oversee creative development, content direction, and brand guidelines.
• Develop and manage the PR strategy, including media relations, press outreach, crisis communication, and corporate messaging.
• Build relationships with media, partners, influencers, and key stakeholders.
• Prepare spokespersons for interviews, media events, and public appearances.
• Manage PR agencies and ensure alignment with brand and business goals.
• Oversee social media strategy, content planning, and platform growth across major channels.
• Lead community engagement initiatives to build loyalty, trust, and active participation.
• Monitor online conversations, sentiment, and trends to inform strategy and react in real time.
• Ensure social media communications reflect brand voice and drive measurable outcomes.
• Manage and mentor a team across brand, PR, content, and social/community functions.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Leadership teams to support business objectives.
• Oversee budgets, agency relationships, and performance dashboards.
• Set KPIs for brand, PR, and social media initiatives.
• Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, brand metrics, media coverage, and community insights.
• Continuously optimize strategies based on data and evolving industry trends.
