Job summary

Motorist is seeking a brand & content intern in Malaysia to help create articles, social posts and short videos. You’ll write in a clear, engaging voice that sounds like a street-smart friend, not a dealer or textbook.

Collaborate with a creative team to publish content that resonates with car enthusiasts. Ideal candidates are currently studying Mass Communication, Journalism or Marketing, with strong English writing skills and familiarity with Canva/CapCut.

Qualifications

• Currently studying in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
• Available for full internship period, 5 days a week.
• Strong writer in English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.
• Comfortable with Canva, CapCut or similar editing tools.
• Knows how Instagram, Facebook and TikTok work and can spot what makes people stop scrolling.

Responsibilities

• Research, write and edit articles for Motorist Malaysia in clear, jargon-free language.
• Draft captions, hooks and scripts for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
• Help plan and maintain the content calendar.
• Support shoots and edits for short videos and car reviews; on-site help, simple cuts, captions.
• Fact-check figures and details before publishing.
• Track post and article performance and share learnings.
• Keep content on-brand: smart, helpful and human.

Requirements

Qualifications & experience

• Currently studying (degree or diploma) in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Available for the full internship period, 5 days a week.
• A strong writer in English. Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.
• Comfortable with Canva, CapCut or similar editing tools.
• You know how Instagram, Facebook and TikTok work, and you notice what makes people stop scrolling.
• Careful with facts, and happy to double-check before you publish

Nice to have

• Video editing or photography skills.
• Basic SEO knowledge.
• An interest in cars and driving, or the curiosity to learn.
