Job summary

Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Branch Manager to lead sales growth, develop agency leaders, and drive performance within the assigned branch. The role focuses on recruiting, coaching, and managing agency teams to meet production, profitability, and operational targets.

You will implement sales strategies, monitor productivity, and foster a high-performance culture while ensuring regulatory compliance and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in insurance/takaful sales management.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
• Proven track record in sales and agency management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Job description

Lead and drive sales growth, agency development, and business performance within the assigned branch. Responsible for recruiting, developing, coaching, and managing agency leaders and agents while ensuring achievement of production, profitability, and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Growth
• Drive branch sales performance and achieve annual/monthly production targets.
• Implement sales strategies, campaigns, and business development initiatives.
• Monitor branch productivity and take proactive actions to improve results.
• Identify market opportunities and expand market penetration.
• Recruit, develop, and retain quality agency leaders and wealth planners.
• Monthly Coffee Talk Session/Mini BOP
• Coach and mentor Agency Managers (AMs) and Chief Agency Managers (CAMs).
• Support talent development programs such as FAST, SPARK, and other agency initiatives.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and business planning sessions.
• Organize branch sales meetings, training, workshops, and development programs such as monthly ZAC, NST Activation Program etc
• Ensure agency members meet licensing, certification, and compliance requirements.
• Foster a high-performance sales culture within the branch.

Operational Management

• Ensure smooth execution of branch operations and agency administration.
• Monitor business submissions, pending cases, persistency, and service standards.
• Coordinate with Head Office and support functions to resolve operational issues.
• Compliance & Governance
• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines.
• Promote ethical sales practices and customer-centric conduct.
• Manage and mitigate business and operational risks within the branch.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Recruitment and activation of new agents.
• Agency manpower growth and retention.
• Persistency and business quality.
• Productivity per active agent.
• Training and development participation.
• Branch profitability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Reporting Line

Reports to: Regional Sales Manager / Regional Head.

Manages: Branch Sales Executives, Agency Managers, and agency force within the branch (depending on organizational structure).
