Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad is seeking a skilled Boilerman to operate and maintain boiler systems in a safe and efficient manner. The role involves preventive maintenance, data logging, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and HSSE standards across the site in Malaysia.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of relevant experience, a valid DOSH boiler certification (Grade 1 or 2), and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant boiler room environment.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate is required.
• 4–6 years of experience and competent boilerman.
• Certified Boilerman Grade 1 or Grade 2 issued by DOSH.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out preventive and assist predictive maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Record maintenance activities and ensure regulatory data is up to date.
• Plan for DOSH/DOE boiler inspections and meet requirements.
• Maintain boiler room cleanliness and safety in accordance with safety acts.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform maintenance/rectification work.
• Comply with HSSE, QA, risk management and related company programmes.
• Support stakeholder management and deliver excellent service as per KPI.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day operation of the boiler and its equipment to ensure boiler is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities and assist predictive maintenance activities to the effort to minimise unplanned shutdown.
• Key-in and input all data and records related to boiler maintenance activities are documented and updated accordingly as per operational and regulatory requirements. Ensure data and records related to the schedule waste process are available and updated.
• Plan and prepare for DOSH/DOE regular and ad-hoc inspection of boiler to meet their requirements.
• Arrange and conduct housekeeping of boiler room and equipment to be in safe and good condition according to the work safety act and enable conducive work environment.
• Troubleshoot any breakdown and carry out maintenance and rectification work.
• Ensure all activities comply with Quality, Safety, Health and environment activities (Quality Assurance Program, Risk Management, Hazard Alert and Recall, Handling Hazardous Equipment) as per contract agreement. Support company programmes and activities such as related to HSSE and LEAN e.g. toolbox session at agreed frequency set by management
• Support stakeholder management (external - Contractor Performance Assessment and Customer Satisfaction Survey, internal – headquarters, vendor etc.) effectively by providing excellent services to maintain good relationship and achieve high customer satisfaction level as per Key Performance Indicator (KPI) set by Company and Ministry of Health.

Job Requirements:

• High School Certificate (specialised in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia)
• At least 4 to 6 years of experience and competent boilerman
• Certified Boilerman Grade 1 or Grade 2 issued by DOSH.
