Job summary

UEM Edgenta is seeking a qualified boilerman to operate and maintain the boiler plant at Taiping, Perak. You will handle day-to-day operations, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The role requires DOSH-certified boilerman grades 1 or 2, 4–6 years of experience, and a Malaysian high school certificate. You will support regulatory inspections and uphold quality, safety and HSSE programs.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) is required.
• 4–6 years of boilerman experience with competency.
• DOS H-certified Boilerman Grade 1 or Grade 2.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler and equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist predictive maintenance to minimise unplanned shutdowns.
• Document data and records for boiler maintenance and schedule waste processes per regulatory requirements.
• Plan and prepare for DOSH/DOE inspections of the boiler.
• Housekeeping of boiler room and equipment to maintain safe conditions.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out maintenance and rectifications.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (HSSE) programs and KPIs.
• Support stakeholder management and deliver excellent service to maintain relationships.
