Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad is seeking a skilled Boilerman to oversee the day-to-day operation of boilers and related equipment, ensuring safe and efficient performance. The ideal candidate holds a High School Certificate (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia), has 4–6 years of boilerman experience, and holds a DOSH Grade 2 certification, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or equivalent
• Boilerman Grade 2 certification by DOSH is required
• 4–6 years of boilerman experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operation of the boiler and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist predictive maintenance to minimise unplanned shutdowns
• Record all boiler maintenance data and ensure records are updated per regulatory requirements
• Plan for DOSH/DOE regular and ad-hoc inspections of boilers
• Maintain boiler room housekeeping and ensure a safe work environment
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out maintenance and rectification work
• Adhere to Quality, Safety, Health and Environment programs and support HSSE/LEAN initiatives
• Support stakeholder management to deliver excellent service and maintain customer satisfaction per KPI

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day operation of the boiler and its equipment to ensure boiler is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities and assist predictive maintenance activities to the effort to minimise unplanned shutdown.
• Key-in and input all data and records related to boiler maintenance activities are documented and updated accordingly as per operational and regulatory requirements. Ensure data and records related to the schedule waste process are available and updated.
• Plan and prepare for DOSH/DOE regular and ad-hoc inspection of boiler to meet their requirements.
• Arrange and conduct housekeeping of boiler room and equipment to be in safe and good condition according to the work safety act and enable conducive work environment.
• Troubleshoot any breakdown and carry out maintenance and rectification work.
• Ensure all activities comply with Quality, Safety, Health and environment activities (Quality Assurance Program, Risk Management, Hazard Alert and Recall, Handling Hazardous Equipment) as per contract agreement. Support company programmes and activities such as related to HSSE and LEAN e.g. toolbox session at agreed frequency set by management
• Support stakeholder management (external - Contractor Performance Assessment and Customer Satisfaction Survey, internal – headquarters, vendor etc.) effectively by providing excellent services to maintain good relationship and achieve high customer satisfaction level as per Key Performance Indicator (KPI) set by Company and Ministry of Health.

Job Requirements

• High School Certificate (specialised in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia)
• At least 4 to 6 years of experience and competent boilerman
• Certified Boilerman Grade 2 issued by DOSH.
