Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad in Malaysia seeks a qualified boilerman to operate and maintain boiler systems safely and efficiently. You will manage day-to-day operations, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.

You will also maintain data records, support HSSE and LEAN initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve high service levels and compliance with contract terms.

Qualifications

• Have 4–6 years of boilerman experience.
• Certified Boilerman Grade 2 by DOSH.
• Able to operate and maintain boiler safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler daily for safe and efficient performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist predictive maintenance.
• Plan for and support DOSH/DOE inspections.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and conduct rectification work.
• Maintain HSSE compliance and support LEAN initiatives.

Job description

Responsible for day-to-day operation of the boiler and its equipment to ensure boiler is operated in a safe and efficient manner.

Perform preventive maintenance activities and assist predictive maintenance activities to the effort to minimise unplanned shutdown.

Key-in and input all data and records related to boiler maintenance activities are documented and updated accordingly as per operational and regulatory requirements. Ensure data and records related to the schedule waste process are available and updated.

Plan and prepare for DOSH/DOE regular and ad-hoc inspection of boiler to meet their requirements.

Arrange and conduct housekeeping of boiler room and equipment to be in safe and good condition according to the work safety act and enable conducive work environment.

Troubleshoot any breakdown and carry out maintenance and rectification work.

Ensure all activities comply with Quality, Safety, Health and environment activities (Quality Assurance Program, Risk Management, Hazard Alert and Recall, Handling Hazardous Equipment) as per contract agreement. Support company programmes and activities such as related to HSSE and LEAN e.g. toolbox session at agreed frequency set by management

Support stakeholder management (external - Contractor Performance Assessment and Customer Satisfaction Survey, internal – headquarters, vendor etc.) effectively by providing excellent services to maintain good relationship and achieve high customer satisfaction level as per Key Performance Indicator (KPI) set by Company and Ministry of Health.

Job Requirements:

High School Certificate (specialised in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia)

At least 4 to 6 years of experience and competent boilerman

Certified Boilerman Grade 2 issued by DOSH.
