Job summary

The Weir Group in Batu Caves is seeking an experienced Boilerman to operate and supervise high‑pressure steam boilers and coordinate maintenance for the powerhouse and facilities. The role requires at least 5 years of hands‑on boiler experience and a Grade 1 Boilerman Certificate (DOSH).

You will manage utilities, monitor fuel supply, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and work shift patterns in a rotating schedule. Bahasa Malaysia and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Grade 1 Boilerman Certificate (DOSH) – mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience operating large industrial boilers.
• Strong communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Malaysian citizen or holder of relevant residence status.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise high‑pressure steam boilers continuously, monitor steam pressure and manage valves for safe operation.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate all boilerhouse and facilities maintenance.
• Perform routine cleaning, repairs, and parts replacement on boiler components and related equipment.
• Oversee utilities management and fuel supply to support production needs.
• Uphold safety standards, energy-saving initiatives and zero-harm culture.
• Collaborate with Facility Engineer and Engineering Manager; assist inspectors during visits.
• Travel primarily site-based with minimal travel for installations or FAT.
