Job summary

Bandar Utama City Sdn Bhd (HQ) is seeking a dedicated Personal Driver for the Chairman. You will transport the Chairman to meetings, handle security-conscious driving, and ensure the vehicle is well-maintained.

Role requires discretion, physical stamina, and readiness for flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Overseas trips may be required occasionally, with strong defensive driving skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Malaysian driving licence with a clean record.
• Experience as Personal Driver, VIP Driver, Executive Driver or Bodyguard is an advantage.
• Defensive driving training and personal protection experience preferred.
• Familiar with Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and major highways.
• Good physical stamina, situational awareness and composure in challenging situations.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Background in the Malaysian Armed Forces or PDRM encouraged.
• Willing to undertake both driving and personal protection responsibilities.

Job description

Safely transport the Chairman / Director to business meetings, corporate functions, appointments and personal engagements.

Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure the assigned vehicle is maintained in excellent condition, including cleanliness, servicing, road tax and insurance.

Plan routes in advance and monitor traffic conditions to ensure timely and safe journeys.

Practise defensive driving techniques and remain alert to potential road safety and security risks.

Ensure the vehicle is clean, properly maintained and ready for use according to the Chairman's schedule.

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the Chairman's personal affairs, business discussions, destinations, movements and other sensitive information.

Carry out personal protection duties and remain vigilant to potential security threats.

Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when necessary.

Accompany the Chairman / Director for local and occasional overseas trips, if required.

Requirements

Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence with a good driving record.

Previous experience as a Personal Driver, VIP Driver, Executive Driver or Bodyguard is an advantage.

Defensive driving training and personal protection experience are strongly preferred.

Familiar with Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and major highways.

Possess good physical stamina, strong situational awareness and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.

Possess good communication skills, discipline and a professional attitude.

Demonstrate a high level of integrity, reliability and discretion when handling confidential matters.

Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when necessary.

Willing to undertake both driving and personal protection responsibilities.

Candidates with a background in the Malaysian Armed Forces or PDRM are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates with military or law enforcement training, VIP protection experience and strong defensive driving skills are highly encouraged to apply.
