Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced HV electrical technician to support data center operations. You will manage 33kV systems, monitor performance, respond to alarms, and perform first-level troubleshooting following site procedures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in high-voltage operations, 3+ years with 33kV components, and a valid ST BO-Chargeman certificate. Prior data center or critical infrastructure experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical experience in high-voltage electrical operations.
• At least 3 years working with 33kV systems, substations, or switchgear.
• Experience in electrical distribution systems maintenance and fault response.
• Familiar with safety procedures, LOTO, isolation, and permit-to-work.
• Experience in data centers or critical infrastructure preferred.
• ST BO-Chargeman certificate is required or held.

Support Data Center operations by managing and maintaining 33kV electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant power supply. Monitor electrical infrastructure performance, attend to alarms, faults, switching activities, and first-level troubleshooting in line with site procedures.

Coordinate with the MEP Site Leader, shift team, and vendors to support planned maintenance

Support incident response and statutory compliance requirements

Maintain electrical logs, inspection records, permit requirements, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory and site standards

About you

Minimum 5 years of practical experience in high-voltage electrical operations, maintenance, or power distribution systems

At least 3 years of hands-on experience involving 33kV electrical systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, or high-voltage switching operations

Experience operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical distribution systems

Familiarity with electrical safety procedures, switching protocols, isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work requirements

Experience responding to electrical faults, power interruptions, alarms, and emergency situations

Valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) BO-Chargeman competency certificate, with appropriate authorization for the assigned installation and duties

Previous experience in Data Centers, power plants, utilities, or other critical electrical infrastructure is highly preferred
