Control Solutions Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a BMS System Engineer to join our engineering team in Puchong, Selangor on a full-time basis. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining Building Management Systems (BMS) that optimise building performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort. As a BMS System Engineer, you will be responsible for translating complex system requirements into practical solutions whilst ensuring seamless integration across multiple building technologies and platforms.
Key responsibilities
Design and configure BMS solutions tailored to meet specific building requirements and client objectives
Programme and integrate BMS controllers, sensors, and other field devices with building systems including HVAC, lighting, security, and fire safety
Develop system documentation including schematics, control sequences, and operational manuals
Conduct commissioning and testing of BMS installations to ensure all systems operate correctly and meet performance specifications
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BMS-related issues during operation and maintenance phases
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure BMS integration aligns with overall building design
Monitor and analyse system performance data to identify optimisation opportunities and recommend improvements
Stay current with industry standards, codes, and emerging BMS technologies
Train building operators and maintenance staff on BMS operation and basic troubleshooting
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering) or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in BMS design, integration, or commissioning
Strong knowledge of building automation systems, control strategies, and HVAC systems
Proficiency in BMS platforms and programming languages such as BACnet, HVAC controls, or equivalent systems
Experience with design software and tools relevant to building systems engineering
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Professional certification in building automation or equivalent (e.g., BACnet certification, ETS certification) is preferred
Understanding of energy efficiency principles and sustainable building practices is advantageous
Knowledge of Malaysian building standards and regulations (MS 1525, ASHRAE standards) is beneficial
