Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly experienced Biomedical Engineering Manager to lead the Biomedical Engineering team and ensure safety, reliability, and compliance of all hospital medical equipment.

You will oversee lifecycle management, CMMS documentation, calibration schedules, and coordination with procurement and regulatory bodies to maintain world-class healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading biomedical engineering teams in a hospital setting.
• Leadership experience in implementing JCI, ACHS, and MSQH standards.
• Strong knowledge of repair, preventive maintenance, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house and outsourced biomedical engineering services including repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Oversee CMMS documentation and ensure timely testing and commissioning.
• Maintain medical gas systems and ensure uptime and reliability of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Medical Devices Act, OSHA, and MOH guidelines.
• Develop SOPs and policies for equipment management, and manage risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with procurement on service contracts and vendor performance.
• Train and mentor biomedical staff and coordinate cross‑department collaboration.
