Job summary

Wasco Berhad is seeking a seasoned renewable energy professional to lead BOOT project development in biomass and bioenergy in Malaysia. You will target FIT quotas, evaluate investment avenues, and drive V/J/M&A initiatives from due diligence to closure.

You will manage deal negotiation, financial feasibility, and regulatory compliance while building strategic partnerships to deliver profitable, sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of renewable energy project development experience.
• Proven track record signing BOOT contracts and securing FIT quotas.
• Strong knowledge of biomass, bioenergy, or waste-to-energy markets.
• Experience in JV/M&A and deal negotiation with due diligence expertise.

Responsibilities

• Origin and develop commercial biomass, bioenergy, and new green energy projects under BOOT or appropriate model.
• Navigate regulatory frameworks to secure FIT quotas and PPAs.
• Perform financial and techno-economic feasibility studies for new investments.
• Evaluate, structure, and execute JVs, partnerships, and M&A transactions from due diligence to closure.
• Lead commercial negotiations for project agreements, fuel supply, and EPC contracts.
