Job summary

Gas Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Biogas Sourcing lead to develop and implement strategic plans for sourcing biogas feedstock in Malaysia. You will build supplier relationships with farmers, waste management companies, technology providers, and biogas plant operators to ensure a reliable supply chain.

The role requires strong commercial sense, financial modelling skills, and the ability to negotiate favourable terms, assess feasibility studies, manage risks, and support Green Gas projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline as stated.
• Internship experience in Oil & Gas, Biogas, Renewable Energy or related industries is a plus.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to build business cases.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with biogas suppliers to ensure consistent feedstock supply.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and delivery schedules.
• Conduct commercial evaluations and economic feasibility assessments for biogas sourcing.
• Assess and mitigate risks across supply chain and regulatory changes.
• Stay informed on regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
• Monitor market trends and provide commercial insights for growth.
• Identify opportunities to optimize supply chain and reduce costs.
• Engage with authorities and funding bodies to promote biomethane initiatives.
• Establish and conduct training for operational personnel on biomethane facilities.
