Job summary

Shiangly Builder Sdn Bhd in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, is seeking an experienced BIM Specialist to lead modelling efforts using Autodesk Revit. The role involves coordinating architectural, structural and M&E models, updating drawings from site changes and ensuring version control.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years BIM experience, a diploma or degree in a related field, and proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, with prior building construction project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction or related disciplines.
• 2–3 years BIM modelling experience, preferably in building construction.
• Must have completed BIM modelling works for at least 2 building construction projects.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit (mandatory).
• Able to develop, update and coordinate 3D BIM models from construction drawings.
• Experience in architectural and structural BIM modelling.
• Familiar with BIM coordination, clash detection and model revisions.
• Knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD and ACC will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, building components and site construction methods.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and coordinate effectively with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare and update BIM models based on approved construction drawings and site changes.
• Coordinate architectural, structural and M&E models to identify potential clashes.
• Assist project teams in resolving design discrepancies and construction coordination issues.
• Generate drawings, sections, schedules and quantities from BIM models.
• Ensure proper BIM model management, documentation and version control.
• Attend project sites for coordination and verification when required.
• Any other duties assigned by superior.
