Job summary

Accesstech Engineering Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced MEP BIM Drafter to create detailed 2D/3D models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and other BIM tools. You will generate construction documents and shop drawings for on-site use by contractors.

The role requires 3–5 years of MEP drafting experience, certificates in AutoCAD/Revit, and strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with site foremen, engineers, and BIM

Qualifications

• Certificate in AutoCAD Autodesk Advanced Module.
• Certificate in Revit MEP Autodesk Advanced Module.
• Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using software like Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or other BIM tools.
• Generate construction documents, detailed drawings, and shop drawings from the 3D models for use on-site by contractors.
• Identify and resolve clashes between MEP systems and other building elements using clash detection tools within the modelling software.
• Ensure all MEP components are accurately modelled with the correct dimensions, materials, and specifications.
• Review models and drawings for accuracy and compliance with project standards, codes, and regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of models, revisions, and updates, and prepare reports on the modelling process as needed.
• Assist the MEP design team with design changes, updates, and modifications based on client feedback or design requirements.
• Occasionally support site coordination efforts by updating models based on field conditions or providing visual aids for construction teams.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM standards, modelling techniques, and industry best practices to ensure high quality outputs.
• Liaise & coordinate with BIM Coordinators & modelers to resolve routing and installation conflicts.

Job description

Requirements:

Certificate in AutoCAD Autodesk advanced module.

Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in M&E drafting using AutoCAD, Revit and BIM preferably from Construction industry.

Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and target oriented in a stressful environment.

Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate initiative and commitment.

To be able to converse in English and work effectively with Internal staff including Site Foreman, Supervisors, Engineers, Managers and Client’s BIM representatives.
